Hello Dreamers & Readers, Happy Sunday to you.

SO YOU REALIZED THAT THE YEAR IS MORE THAN HALF OVER? You’ve come to the right place because I am here to FREAK OUT. Like, really. As cliche as it sounds, I feel like the year is speeding by so fast and Before you know it, it’ll be Christmas, and I’ll be making posts about the holidays. LOL!

OH GOSH, I can’t think about it now, I might actually freak out. I have decided to start this tag this year and hopefully will continue doing it every year. and I really enjoy doing it, so here we go….  This is how it goes, there’s 15 prompts and I’ll be picking one (or several) books for each. Maybe you’ll share similar opinions and comment below *wink nudge wink* Enjoy!

Best book you’ve read so far in 2019

My favorite YA book was THUG,  I absolutely adored this book. I truly don’t feel like it has a single flaw. Every topic addressed was approach so wonderfully and did not hold back. If you’re looking for a diverse read that stands out amongst most YA, The Hate U Give is the book for you.
My favorite adult novel was Winter Road – Kristina Rienzi. A page-turning thriller! This short tale will make you long for home, hot chocolate, and family. The review will come up on the blog soon.

Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2019

RELIQUARY I stumbled across this series quite by accident and  I went to the beginning and read the first book, Relic, and enjoyed it. This second book in the series is a real page turner with lots of insight and history thrown into the mix. I’d highly recomment starting at the beginning.

Most of the time, sequels suck. But not this one! It also answers a lot of questions left over from the first book and keeps you on the edge of your seat!IMG_8935

A book you haven’t read but want to

I have a whole list up on my TBR, maybe you’ve seen or not, but check it out. . .?  But here’s a few books that are STILL on my tbr even though their releases were a while ago:

Born A Crime – Trevor Noah, Ask Again, Yes – Keane Mary Beth, Beartown – Backman Fredik. etc.

Most anticipated release for the 2nd half of 2018

SAPPHIRE FLAMES – ANDREW ILONA. prepare to be WOWwed!! yes I said it… I can’t wait for this book. it’s expected to be released August 27th.

Biggest Disappointment of 2018

I actually have a whole blog post planned for this, but I’m going to leave a single book title here that was the biggest disappointment for me: The only Woman in the room – Marie Benedict. I picked up that book with so much expectations and was utterly disappointed. I have the review on my Bookstagram.

Biggest surprise of 2018

WHERE THE CROWDADS SING – DELIA OWENS. this book was pretty hyped and lived up to every hype.

New favorite author

I love my new faves, Delia Owens, Angie Thomas, Neal Shusterman, Celeste Ng, Tomi Adeyemi, (I can’t pick one!)

Newest fictional crush

Newest favorite character

Starr again. lol… you can tell I love her already but here you go again.

Book that made you cry

Honestly, YA books don’t really *cough* THUG*cough* THUG *cough*  This was pretty surprising for me and Best Ya book of recent times.

Book that made you happy

Save the Date by Morgan Matson was a laugh out loud adventure of mischief and chaos I needed in a spring contemporary novel. The family had great chemistry, and the main character was so fiercely loyal it made me so happy *cue tears of joy*

Favorite book to movie adaptation

Favorite review you’ve written

I haven’t written that many this year, but looking back, I really like my review for BOOK REVIEW: LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE – Celeste Ng. it was such a good read  and I’m glad I had the honor to review it.

Most beautiful book you’ve bought this year

THE ASTONISHING COLOR OF AFTER by Emily X.R. Pan. The cover is beautiful, the story is beautiful, the writing is beautiful and poetic. I wish I could reread it for the first time again.

Books you need to read by the end of 2019

I have a LOT, so here’s a few: A Reaper at the Gates, What If It’s Us, The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, A Smoke in the Sun, Not the Girls You’re Looking For, Blanca y Roja, The Devil’s Thief, Queen of Air and Darkness, and A Conjuring of Light.  THUG. Seriously, that’s just a few.

This post is a way of me accepting that 2019 only has a couple months left. Currently trying not to panic. At least I have books to distract myself. Lots and lots of books. *cue me building a fortress of books to hide in forever*
