Happy Wednesday and Welcome Back to This’s week WWW Wednesday book tag. I haven’t done this in such a long time and I feel ashamed.lol I’ve been a bad bad girl! Sorry guys but time to get back on track.
WWW Wednesday was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm and was revived by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. It’s a place to talk about the books you’ve been reading, plan to read and have read.
To take part all you need to do is answer the following questions:
~What are you currently reading?
~What did you recently finish reading?
~What do you think you’ll read next?
~ Currently Reading ~
You probably know this by now! I always read a couple of books all at once. I never can read just one book at a time. I currently have two books running on my kindle, one hardcopy and an audiobook I switch to when I’m busy with chores. check them out below.
1: The Waiting Room – Emily Bleeker.
Ever since her husband’s death collided with the birth of her daughter, postpartum depression has taken hold of Veronica Shelton. She can’t sleep, can’t work, and can’t bear to touch her beautiful baby girl. Her emotional state is whispering lies in Veronica’s ear: You’re a bad mother. Your baby would be better off without you. But not everything can be reasoned away by Veronica’s despair. Can it?
After all, the break-in at her house happened. The disturbing sketches she found in her studio are real. So is the fear for her daughter’s safety—especially when Veronica comes home to a cold, silent nursery and a missing baby.
As she turns from victim into primary suspect, Veronica realizes that only she can find her daughter. Authorities aren’t helping. They’re only watching. Veronica’s concerned mother has suddenly vanished from her life. And a new friend seems to be keeping secrets from her too. Now, reality is waiting for Veronica in a dark place—because someone’s mind games have only just begun.
2: I Am Watching You – TERESA DRISCOLL
When Ella Longfield overhears two attractive young men flirting with teenage girls on a train, she thinks nothing of it—until she realises they are fresh out of prison and her maternal instinct is put on high alert. But just as she’s decided to call for help, something stops her. The next day, she wakes up to the news that one of the girls—beautiful, green-eyed Anna Ballard—has disappeared.
A year later, Anna is still missing. Ella is wracked with guilt over what she failed to do, and she’s not the only one who can’t forget. Someone is sending her threatening letters—letters that make her fear for her life.
Then an anniversary appeal reveals that Anna’s friends and family might have something to hide. Anna’s best friend, Sarah, hasn’t been telling the whole truth about what really happened that night—and her parents have been keeping secrets of their own.
Someone knows where Anna is—and they’re not telling. But they are watching Ella.
3: Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone – J.K ROWLINGS. ( A little guilty pleasure reread for me. lol)
I think we’ve all read this over and over again! This is like the millionth time I am rereading and I am so unapologetically shameless at this point. I had to get the Kindle Edition to ease reread for me. HP FOR THE WIN ALWAYS!!
4: The Handmaid’s Tale – MARGARET ATWOOD
I am a little over halfway through these books and I am hoping to finish in a couple days. I can’t believe I waited so long to pick the anomaly up and can’t wait to pick up the follow up books in the series
~ Recently Finished ~
I finished 3 books between last week and this week. I loved them and have posted review for two and one pending but will post tomorrow.
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! review coming soon
~ Reading Next ~
I have a lot of books lined up to get to this week but most likely these will be my next picks.
At least I didn’t think they did ‘til I tried to quit smoking and ended up Undead. Who in the hell did I screw over in a former life that my getting healthy equates with dead?
Now I’m a Vampyre. Yes, we exist whether we want to or not. However, I have to admit, the perks aren’t bad. My girls no longer jiggle, my ass is higher than a kite and the latest Prada keeps finding its way to my wardrobe. On the downside, I’m stuck with an obscenely profane Guardian Angel who looks like Oprah and a Fairy Fighting Coach who’s teaching me to annihilate like the Terminator.
To complicate matters, my libido has increased to Vampyric proportions and my attraction to a hotter than Satan’s underpants killer rogue Vampyre is not only dangerous . . . it’s possibly deadly. For real dead. Permanent death isn’t on my agenda. Avoiding him is my only option. Of course, since he thinks I’m his, it’s easier said than done. Like THAT’S not enough to deal with, all the other Vampyres think I’m some sort of Chosen One.
Holy Hell, if I’m in charge of saving an entire race of blood suckers, the Undead are in for one hell of a ride
I’ve been wanting to read this series for awhile now and hoping to start book one soon.
What are you currently reading? What have you recently finished? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
Have you read any of the books on my list this week? HAVE ANY GOOD ONES you’d recommend? As always please feel free to leave comments and links below.
