Yet Another bookish tag to play with. Hello dreamers and booklovers, welcome back to my blog. I have something fun for you guys today.
The topics for this week’s post will be a little tricky for me because I don’t request or give out a ton of personalized book recommendations. I should rectify that soon.
I don’t recommend much because I believe Everybody has their different taste in books. Taste is such a subjective thing that I feel a bit shy about these sorts of conversations unless I’m 100% sure the other person will love that book just as much as I loved it. Which isn’t always the case but since I started my bookstagram account, I have had some pretty good recommendations and That is one thing I love about that community. (FOLLOW MY IG IF YOU HAVE A BOOKSTAGRAM ACCOUNT FOR A SHOUTOUT) insta
So I’m going with a list of some bookstagram recommendations, childhood books and bookish friends recommendations to answer this prompt.
JENNY HAN – TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED SERIES
This was the first series I was recommended by a fellow bookstagrammer when I was trying to be more genre fluid and inclusive. It goes to say I quickly fell in love with Jenny Han.❤️
SInce then, I have read several of her books and loved everyone of them.
J.R.R. Tolkien – Lord of the Rings series.
My Dad(God rest his soul) bought me my first ever copies of The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy in High-school . This was one of my firstever dabble into the series world and it was was a fun right read away, and I since then have become a steady reader of series.
CELESTE NG – LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE
This book was gifted to me by a dear friend and I wasn’t too keen on it at first but it goes without saying, it’s among my top 10 books of 2019. This book told such engrossing stories about life, mental health and so much more… I wrote a review on it HERE you should check it out.
J.K ROWLINGS – HARRY POTTER series.
I no longer recall who recommended this to me, but I’m glad they did. I am pretty sure it was my dad, that man was my main book supplier 😆 And I was such a daddy’s girl. These books where the books of my childhood and I can’t remember how many times I’ve reread them. Thank You DADA😍
