It’s time again for the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews.
I have decided to try and get back to blogging frequently again after being off and on for awhile now. 2020 has been a chaotic year and I’ve since learned not to force anything but to let them flow naturally and enjoy every minute of life and let myself feel all the emotions and take one day at a time.
Ultimately, this year has been all about survival and nothing else. So that is what I’ve been doing. SURVIVING EVERYDAY
Today, i’ve decided to take part in this week’s meme
Today’s topic is: What I Wanted to Do When I Grew Up vs. What I Do
Where to start… I guess to dig a little earlier. As every little girl back then, I had pretty big dreams and an even bigger imagination as I used to read a lot of books and make up different scenarios in my head of how i wanted to my life to turn out and this always changed with every new book and world I had in my hands but Ultimately, I just wanted to escape my lil town. so, I wanted to be a lot of things and couldn’t really settled for one thing for much longer. (to say I now have my life figured out is a far fetch as I really still haven’t) I will try and list some few things I’ve wanted to be and actually did below.
First off, I wanted to be an Engineer because I was fascinated with buildings and architecture and I did loved Physics in highschool too. So I went ahead and got an Engineering degree immediately after highschool but never really practiced. (Still love engineering and sometimes still design but not professionally.
After that, I became fascinated with Software design At the time and also went ahead and got a Computer Science degree. I’m sure you are seeing the pattern already. lol I was the Ultimate GEEK! Still am.
And then again, I love books. That has always been my first love so I decided I’d figure a way to make something out of my love for reading and writing, and so I did. Currently I do freelance content writing, and also do the whole blogging on the side, I review books professionally for a couple of publishing websites but haven’t really done much of story writing currently, but working on writing for fun again. I really do miss it as storytelling has always been my way to have fun.(weird. I know)
I have done several other Jobs that I actually loved but right now I am focusing on Entrepreneur and currently running a course on fashion designing.
So… I guess I guess it’s safe to say I am still trying to figure life out but I have always made it a point to do whatever I wanted to do at any given time.
What about you? Are you doing what your younger self always wanted to do?
